Rebecca Ruth Schifilliti (she/her) is a flutist, teaching artist, and entrepreneur. In her artistic practice, she seeks to bring joy, break traditions and exalt the human spirit. Rebecca is the co-executive director of Art Beyond the Ink, an educational organization that uses interdisciplinary performance to encourage audiences to be creative listeners. In addition, she works as a STEAM Resident at The GIANT Room, an innovation hub for children and families, where she helps to build curriculum for music, art and technology workshops. She also teaches flute privately.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Flute Performance from the Mannes School of Music, where she studied with Judith Mendenhall, and a Master’s of Arts in Arts Management and Entrepreneurship from the College of Performing Arts at The New School. When Rebecca is not practicing or teaching, you can find her badly belting out Broadway tunes, or reading all sorts of things, from novels by Mark Z. Danielewski to political philosophy by Jason Brennan.
