A native of Campobello, SC, Zoe Kushubar is currently pursuing her Master of Music in Violin Performance at Florida State University, where she serves as a Graduate Assistant in Shannon Thomas’s studio. She is also a member of the Burgin Quartet, the university’s fellowship quartet that focuses on recording and performing new works by student composers.
In 2020, she received undergraduate degrees in both violin performance and chemistry from Converse College. Zoe has attended music programs including Aspen Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, National Youth Orchestra 2, and Aria International Summer Academy; she has also performed in Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic in both solo and chamber capacities. Zoe has worked with many violin pedagogues including Paul Kantor, Carolyn Huebl, Hal Grossman, Bayla Keyes, Courtney LeBauer, and Sarah Johnson. When not in school or playing music, Zoe enjoys exercising, doing jigsaw puzzles, and spending time in cat cafes and dog parks.
