Pianist Victoria Wen is a senior double majoring in Music and Information Systems Engineering at Stony Brook University. She has studied piano for the past four years with Dr. Pablo Lavandera, music faculty at Stony Brook University. Last year, she won the First Prize at the 2020 Undergraduate Concerto Competition.
Before Stony Brook University, she studied piano at The Juilliard School (Pre-College Division) with Martin Canin for three years and Ernest Barretta for one year. Her accolades include the 1st prize of the International Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition and 1st place of the New York State Music Teacher Association (NYSMTA) NYC Piano Competition. Victoria has also performed in master classes given by distinguished artists which include Dmitri Berlinsky, Lev Natochany, and Dr. Joanne Polk. She started playing the piano at age five and studied with Dr. Tian Song from Tian Song Musical Arts and Frederik Kuok from Brooklyn Musical Arts until she was 13.
