David Nájera González

David Nájera González, drummer and musician, was born in Mexico City in 1998 and experienced his childhood there. He lived in Madrid, Spain, during his teenage years and later came to New York to pursue a career in music. He studied at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. There, he was educated by great artists such as Jane Ira Bloom, Mary Halvorson, Patricia Brennan, Andrew Cyrille, Andy Mckee, Amir Ziv and Julian Lage. During these formative years, he formed an improvising electro-acoustic trio called Suborange. The trio has performed around Brooklyn and Manhattan, most of the shows being completely improvised. He is the leader of the group Patos where he can express his compositions and arrangements with a full octet.
