    Young Composers Competition

    Sheet Music

Young composers are special in that they have a vision most do not. Being a young composer requires abstract thinking skills, problem solving, and having a good ear for harmony! The Young Composer's Competition is free-to-enter and encourages young people to take a swing at composing new music.

To participate, composers must submit an original manuscript of their work that is no longer than 10 minutes, written for a maximum of 5 instruments.

Due date for submissions: June 1st, 2022

    Reward

One composer will be chosen to have their original composition performed by ECTA's own musicians. The performance of their work will be highlighted on social media. The composer will also be provided a certificate of achievement and one letter of recommendation.
