Born in Hong Kong, Giuseppe started the tenor trombone at the age of 11. After two years, Giuseppe switched to bass trombone and studied with Mr Pieter Wyckoff. Giuseppe then moved to New York City and studied with Professor Denson Paul Pollard at The Juilliard Pre-College on full scholarship. In 2016, he became the first bass trombonist to win the concerto competition of The Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra. In 2017, Giuseppe won the George Roberts Bass Trombone Competition at the International Trombone
Giuseppe then switched back to tenor trombone and has the privilege of studying with Mr Joseph Alessi since 2017. In 2018, he won the Asia Brass Festival Trombone Competition Aged 16-22 in Taipei, Taiwan. In 2017, Giuseppe joined the Asian Youth Orchestra’s World Concert Tour and performed in 20 cities/countries. Giuseppe joined the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra as freelance player in 2019 after taking part in their ‘Share the Stage’ project under the batons of Lorin Maazel and Christoph Eschenbach in 2013-15.
In addition to the HK Jockey Club Music & Dance Fund Scholarship, Giuseppe is also a proud recipient of a Kovner Fellowship at The Juilliard School commencing 2019 to join the studio of Mr Joseph Alessi.
